Airport Insight Privacy Policy

We designed Airport Insight to help pilots quickly review airport conditions before arriving at the airport.

We value your trust and privacy, and we want to be transparent about how we handle your information.

Information We Do Not Collect

Airport Insight does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address to use the app. Because Airport Insight does not use user accounts, we do not maintain personal profiles or cloud accounts for our users.

Information Stored on Your Device

Airport favorites, application settings, and other preferences are stored locally on your device. If you remove the app or begin using a different device, this locally stored information may not transfer.

Ramp Notes

Ramp Notes are temporary community observations shared by Airport Insight users. Ramp Notes are stored on Justek LLC servers so they can be viewed by other users. They are not associated with a user account or your personal identity. While using the same installation of Airport Insight, you may delete Ramp Notes that you submitted. If you uninstall the app or switch to another device, previously submitted Ramp Notes can no longer be associated with you and cannot be deleted by you. Ramp Notes are automatically and permanently deleted after a limited retention period. No backups or archives are retained after deletion. If you voluntarily include your initials or other identifying information in a Ramp Note, that information will be visible to other users while the note is available.

AI Weather Explanations

Airport Insight offers decoded aviation weather reports on your device when possible. If you request an AI-generated explanation, the report text is sent to a third-party AI provider solely to generate the explanation you requested.

Third-Party Aviation Data

Airport Insight retrieves aviation weather, NOTAMs, airport information, and other operational data from third-party aviation data providers. No personal data is sent to the third-party services.

Analytics and Diagnostics

Airport Insight does not display third-party advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites. If crash reports or diagnostic information are collected, they are used only to improve the reliability of Airport Insight.

Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information stored on our servers. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Airport Insight is intended for pilots and aviation enthusiasts and is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available at the Privacy Policy link provided in the App Store.
